About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team at Melrose Restaurant & Rooftop Bar in the vibrant suburb of Bulimba, QLD. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality, creative dishes that showcase our restaurant's unique culinary style.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes from our diverse menu
  • Ensuring all food items are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of new menu items
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
  • Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a similar restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Passion for creating innovative and flavourful dishes
  • Commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
