About the Role
Are you an experienced automotive professional ready for your next career milestone? The Newcastle BMW team is on the lookout for a Workshop Controller/Supervisor to be pivotal in our 'fix it right first time' ethos. Your role is essential in enhancing customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and workflow management to a team of Technicians
- Collaborate with customers alongside the Service Manager or Advisor
- Communicate technical information to Service Advisors and customers
- Conduct toolbox talks with the Workshop Team
- Monitor Technician training requirements
- Oversee and coordinate team activities to ensure quality work in an efficient and safe manner
- Maintain brand training as required
Essential Criteria
- Strong team management skills, ensuring quality work under pressure
- Commercial acumen with a knack for achieving targets and KPIs
- Facility and equipment maintenance, compliance, safety, risk management, security, and environmental responsibility
- Excellent people leadership and communication skills
- Implement continuous improvement systems and processes
- Flexibility to work reasonable overtime as required
- Current Fair Trading Tradesperson Licence
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
Other Desirable Qualities
- Current BMW brand training and experience
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for continuous development
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence, reliability, honesty, and flexibility
