Lead the Future of Insurance & Cross-Buy Innovation at ING

Are you ready to shape the future of customer journeys in banking? ING is on a mission to become Australia's favourite place for money, and we're looking for a visionary Product Area Lead to drive our insurance and cross-buy strategy.

In this pivotal role, as Head of Mortgage Insurance (internally known as Product Area Lead, Mortgage Insurance) to lead the strategy, performance, and delivery of ING's mortgage insurance portfolio.

You'll lead the development and execution of seamless, digitally-led customer experiences that integrate insurance and credit card propositions into mortgage journeys. You'll be responsible for launching and scaling new products like life and travel insurance, while driving cross-sell performance and income diversification.

What you'll do
 

• Own and execute ING's insurance strategy, including new product launches.
• Lead cross-buy initiatives across mortgages, insurance, and credit cards.
• Drive commercial outcomes and customer experience excellence.
• Collaborate across digital, direct, and broker channels.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure governance compliance.
• Inspire and grow a high-performing, agile team.

What we're looking for

• Proven leadership in insurance, lending, or digital finance, with strong P&L ownership
• Skilled in agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and team development
• Commercially savvy with cross-sell and customer journey optimisation experience
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
• Degree in business, marketing, or commerce; postgrad preferred
