The opportunity:
We're looking for a strategic and operationally-minded Group Learning Lead to help shape and deliver QBE's global learning strategy. This role is pivotal in embedding our new learning operating model and driving initiatives that build capability and foster a learning culture across the organisation. You'll work across Centres of Excellence (COEs) and regional teams to develop frameworks, manage platforms, and lead global learning initiatives.

Your new role:

  • Develop and maintain global learning standards and frameworks to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences.
  • Lead the embedment and continuous improvement of Workday CareerHub in partnership with regional learning leads.
  • Drive integration of the global skills framework (QBE Skills) across the employee lifecycle and tools.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Planning to support capability-building strategies and prioritisation across the Learning & Leadership Community of Practice (COP).
  • Refresh the learning job architecture, simplifying and enhancing role profiles to align with evolving skills and capability needs.
  • Champion a shift in learning mindset across the organisation

The recruitment process will include 2-3 stages of interview and background checks.

About you:
You're a seasoned learning and development professional with a passion for operational excellence and global collaboration. You thrive in complex environments and bring a proactive, strategic approach to capability building.

Key Criteria:

  • Proven experience in enterprise learning, organisational development, or capability building within a global organisation.
  • Strong background in developing and embedding learning standards and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and tools (e.g. Workday, LinkedIn Learning).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional and regional teams.
  • Skilled in managing complex, multi-region learning initiatives with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a learning culture and support digital learning adoption.
