The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to join our Document Production team in our Sydney office.

Please note that this role is a 12-month contract position.

This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence and accuracy. If you thrive under pressure, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a keen eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Deliver high-quality document creation, amendment, formatting, and audio transcription services to legal practice groups and non-legal functions using a range of applications.

  • Monitor workflow and deadlines, allocating tasks across the Document Production team to ensure timely and efficient completion.

  • Scope and triage incoming work to determine appropriate handling and prioritisation.

  • Provide technical assistance and support to members of the Document Production team.

  • Work with DP Workflow Coordinators and DP Team Leaders within Australia and globally to ensure workload and resources are managed efficiently.

  • Comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) obligations relevant to the role, including supervising and supporting team members to foster a safe and respectful workplace.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum typing speed of 80 words per minute with 98% accuracy.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including creating, formatting, modifying and applying styles, using track changes, and document comparison tools.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.

  • Experience transcribing witness interviews using transcription equipment.

  • Strong and accurate proofreading skills.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple competing deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to think ahead, set priorities, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills when liaising with key internal stakeholders.

  • Previous experience working with an offsite services provider.

  • Proven leadership skills.
