What you'll be doing
The Research Facility Operations Manager (RFOM) is responsible for laboratory and facility operational management to ensure that research performed within the Kids Research premises, is consistent with the strategic goals of the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN).
The role is responsible for overseeing a safe work environment for research groups, students and associated research support staff and ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements of laboratory research, including providing training where required.
The RFOM will assist in determining and implementing business strategies to ensure achievement of SCHN operational goals. This includes making appropriate judgements, identifying environment and business challenges for current and future years and developing business strategies and operational plans for the service. The RFOM will hold a key role in identifying, assessing and controlling risk and assist in resolving complex issues relating to operations of the KR facility.
All staff in the Research Office are expected to work flexibly to achieve urgent and changing priorities as required, under the direction of the Director of Research and Associate Director, Research Operations.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has Experience in a management role involving research activity, including demonstrated experience in research operational or facility management
- Demonstrate ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
