Our client is known for its expertise in advising clients on shopping centre investments, property development, business sales, and structuring complex commercial arrangements. About the position:

Our client is offering a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join their growing team in a flexible full-time or part-time capacity. This role is ideal for a commercially-minded lawyer looking to work across a broad range of matters, including:

  • Commercial property transactions (shopping centres, commercial buildings)
  • Strata titling and property development projects
  • Business sales and purchases
  • Shareholder agreements and corporate restructuring
  • Commercial contracts and franchising matters

You'll be stepping into a key leadership position, managing complex files while mentoring junior lawyers. With the support of an experienced and collaborative leadership team, you'll play a vital role in continuing the firm's strong reputation in the Brisbane legal market.

This is a client-facing role where your ability to communicate complex legal concepts in clear, practical language will be highly valued.

Key Requirements:

  • 7+ years PAE in commercial property and/or commercial law/contracts/Strata (Private practice experience necessary)
  • Prior experience handling files such as business transactions, leases, strata titling, and corporate restructuring
  • Ability to manage clients confidently and autonomously
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • A commercially astute and culturally aware approach to legal practice
  • Mandarin or Cantonese language skills (highly regarded but not essential)
