About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and motivated PeopleSoft Technical / Environment Manager to join our Melbourne team. This is a hands-on, mid-level role where you'll take ownership of PeopleSoft technical environments, upgrades, and performance tuning, while working closely with infrastructure, functional, and customer stakeholders.

You'll be responsible for maintaining and optimising PeopleSoft environments, driving upgrades and strategies through to execution, and ensuring smooth delivery across application and database layers. The role requires strong technical depth and the ability to work autonomously while building confidence and trust with customers.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate a high-level of knowledge in:

  • PeopleSoft 3-Tier Architecture
  • SQL/PeopleSoft application performance tuning
  • PeopleTools Upgrades, including:
  • Strategy and planning
  • Execution
  • Retrofit
  • Testing & performance testing
  • PeopleSoft Admin (PS Admin):
  • Web server, WebLogic (configuration), App server, Tuxedo
  • Integration Broker, Gateway, PS Tools
  • Batch servers, Process Scheduler
  • PS Security (ADFS, audit, advisory)
  • Elasticsearch or Secure Enterprise Search (SES) with PeopleSoft
  • Change Assistant

Preferred Knowledge (highly regarded):

  • Oracle Database administration including:
  • Partitioning
  • Database performance tuning
  • RMAN backup/recovery
  • Security (CPU patches, audit)
  • Disaster recovery, upgrades, cloning
  • Experience in PeopleSoft HCM, Absence Management, and Global Payroll

Role Requirements

  • Work autonomously in technical areas related to the PS Admin space
  • Own task assignments and customer issues through to resolution
  • Perform technical tasks including maintenance, upgrades, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and stakeholders
  • Build effective relationships and trust with technical, infrastructure, and functional teams
  • Operate well within managed environments and established processes
