
Head of Property Management

PURNELL Real Estate is seeking a diligent and people-focused Head of Property Management to join our friendly team and work closely along the Managing Directors whilst overseeing a small team.
PURNELL Real Estate, established in Kingston in 1987, is one of Canberra's oldest family-run real estate agencies. We have a vacancy for a Head of Property Management to manage a tidy portfolio of residential properties located predominantly in the Inner South. This role will also involve leading a small team of expert Property Managers, offering ideas and solutions to assist the team in achieving the smooth management of properties and the opportunity to assist with new business.
The successful applicant will ideally have strong people management experience, be a natural leader and problem solved and have the Real Estate acumen to oversee the day-to-day management of a tidy portfolio of 150 – 170 properties supported by a dedicated leasing consultant, experienced trust accountant team and excellent admin staff. They will be well-presented, articulate, mature and possess a high level of interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability. A working knowledge of PropertyMe or equivalent software is highly desirable
Working hours are 9-5pm Monday to Friday (with NO Saturdays promoting work/life balance). We offer a friendly office environment with supportive directors and a cohesive team. Our office is centrally located in Kingston.

Skills and Experience

Current ACT Real Estate registration or license and current NSW Real Estate registration or license or willingness to obtain mutual recognition

Current Driver's License

Immaculate presentation

Proven ability to prioritise a range of demands, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a high-volume work environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary package of $90,000 - $110,000 which will be tailored to match experience. Opportunity to earn commissions for new business.
