The OSI is focused on improving outcomes for marginalised and under-resourced Queenslanders, with initiatives like the $80M Social Entrepreneurs Fund and a sector roadmap for social impact.
We are seeking a highly organised, adaptable professional with expertise in government policy and strong analytical skills. You will thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that values innovation, continuous learning, and delivering real outcomes.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of government, the for-purpose sector, and impact investment, driving initiatives that create lasting social change.
In this role, you will:
• Support the Director, Outcomes, OSI in delivering priority activities, including payments by outcomes contracting and impact tracking.
• Design and implement outcomes-focused initiatives aligned with the OSI's strategic objectives and roadmap.
• Manage diverse tasks such as engaging experts, contract design and management, performance measurement, and structured project delivery.
• Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, managing complex issues to achieve positive outcomes.
What experience you will bring:
• Experience in government policy and analytical skills (e.g., economic/cost-benefit analysis, data analysis, evaluation, or numerical abilities and critical thinking).
• Strong critical thinking, sound judgement, and ability to deliver results.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) tailored to diverse audiences.
• High-level relationship management that fosters capability building, information sharing, and collaboration.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
