Human Resources Coordinator

Emeritus Research is experiencing a high growth period and we're looking to strengthen our People and Culture team with a highly organised, part-time Coordinator (28 hours across 4 days per week).
If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, adapts easily when priorities shift, and has a sharp eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you.
This role is perfect for someone who understands the importance of compliance, brings a solution-focused mindset, and can balance day-to-day coordination with a big-picture perspective.
You'll play a key role in supporting people-focused initiatives across the employee lifecycle — helping us build a workplace where our team can thrive.
About us:
Emeritus Research improves world health and accelerates medical advancements by expertly managing clinical trials. We work with top global Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies and have facilitated a myriad of trials that have brought today's leading medications to market.
Being privately owned by an ambitious and supportive Board, we have the flexibility to be innovative, and pivot when required. Over the past six years, Emeritus Research has seen exponential growth in capacity, staffing, and trial opportunities. We have a nimble approach to trial implementation, whilst ensuring safety and quality are delivered in our services.
Emeritus has diversified roles within the company to ensure every step of the trial is approached with expertise. Every team member is valued for their contribution and solution focused approach.
About the role:
The People and Culture Business Partner needs a hands-on self-starter who likes things running like clockwork; someone focused on improving the overall employee experience by cultivating a positive workplace culture to work together to shift things up a few notches. While working 28 hours across 4 days/week, some of the things you will find yourself doing are:
- Maintaining and updating employee records and HR databases to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinating recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, coordinating interviews, reference checking and handling candidate communication
- Managing new hire documentation and onboarding and offboarding processes
- Being the first point of contact for general HR queries, support and process inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed
- Assisting with administering the performance review process, tracking probationary periods, and ensuring compliance with policies
- Transforming documentation-based procedures into automated processes and optimising our current HR platform (Employment Hero)
- Assist People and Culture Business Partner with implementation of new and enhancement of current HR software and program to optimise people processes, people experience and operational efficiency
- Developing, supporting and administering our employee rewards and benefits program
- Maintaining HR data using our HR platform to track key HR metrics, and assisting with preparing reports for leadership
- Assisting with drafting HR-related internal communications, including business initiatives
We'd like you to demonstrate:
- A strong attention to detail and process with excellent organisational skills
- A high level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees at all levels
- A proactive and process-driven mindset
- A solid understanding of the industrial landscape
- 1-2 years of strong HR administration experience
- A qualification and/or strong interest in an HR related field is preferred
- Strong ability in Microsoft suite
- A knowledge of Employment Hero (preferred)
Sound like you? Send your resume with a cover letter telling us why your next move is to Emeritus Research and we can chat about your salary expectations too.
We look forward to hearing from you
Please note, all applications will be assessed as they come in and we will only be contacting shortlisted candidates.
