Join Us as our Account Manager, Government

Are you passionate about building relationships, solving problems, and helping clients get the most out of what they do? This role is your chance to work with our Federal Government clients, guiding them through the world of real-time media intelligence and being their go-to partner for outstanding service.

As part of Streem's Account Management team, you'll balance client support with team collaboration, helping customers navigate our platform, spotting opportunities to add value, and ensuring every interaction leaves them feeling confident and supported.

If you love variety, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to make a genuine impact, this role is for you

Here's a snapshot of what you'll be doing:

  • Setting up and customising client accounts (including keyword/Boolean searches) to make sure they're getting the most from Streem.
  • Training and educating customers - virtually and in person - so they feel empowered and informed.
  • Building and nurturing strong client relationships, becoming their trusted first point of contact.
  • Spotting key media issues and opportunities for clients, and relaying these back to our teams.
  • Producing insightful reports, transcripts, and media summaries that help clients cut through the noise.
  • Acting as an escalation point and subject matter expert for Government-specific projects, tasks, and enquiries.
  • Driving key initiatives and deployments around major Federal Government events and priorities.
  • Gathering client feedback and representing their needs in product development conversations.
  • Collaborating across teams - Sales, Product, Curation, Customer Support - to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Supporting your team, leading by example, and contributing to a positive, respectful workplace.

This role is perfect for someone who's energetic, organised, and customer-obsessed, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for Australia's media landscape. You'll be hands-on, proactive, and always looking for ways to make our clients' experience even better.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • 1–2 years in Account Management, Customer Success, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Top-notch communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with calm and confidence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an adaptable, can-do attitude.
  • Permanent residency or citizenship in Australia.

Bonus points if you also bring:

  • Experience in media, communications, or journalism.
  • Familiarity with Boolean search, data/analytics tools, or CRM/project management platforms.
  • A genuine interest in public affairs, media, news, and the Australian media landscape.

Please don't be discouraged from applying if you don't meet all the skills requirements - we are a team of lifelong learners who love to share knowledge and grow our skills together.

If this sounds like the role for you, apply here or send your application through to us at
