Join the team that transforms the sports landscape and creates a legacy of excitement, engagement, and inspiration.

About the Role:

The State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) is seeking an experienced Consultant to lead a strategic project focused on reviewing, updating and standardising all Position Descriptions (PDs) across the organisation. This 4-month full-time equivalent engagement represents a critical investment in workforce capability, compliance, and organisational clarity. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct a full audit of approximately 116 active PDs
  • Identify gaps, outdated content, and compliance risks
  • Develop a contemporary PD template aligned with best practice
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers and internal stakeholders to validate role responsibilities
  • Update and standardise PDs across the organisation
  • Deliver a comprehensive report and a PD maintenance guide for future use

Required skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in HR consulting, with a focus on PD development and compliance
  • Strong understanding of employment law, enterprise agreements, and child safeguarding provisions
  • Experience working within public sector or sport sector frameworks (highly desirable)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver within tight timeframes and defined budgets

Why is this a great place to work?

  • You will love working at the State Sports Centres. Here's just a few reasons why:
  • Great staff benefits including free parking, gym membership, discounts at SSCT food & beverage and retail outlets and complimentary court hire for casual bookings across the stadiums
  • Family and friends' discounts on gym membership
  • Discounted access to holiday programs and creche for dependents
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • You will be surrounded by elite athletes daily and will be supporting a wide range of elite sports and world class events, as well as community sport and recreation
  • You will be challenged daily and can develop yourself as a person as well as gaining valuable career skills
  • We have a fantastic team of people who are great to work with

Join us in our mission to help people to be excited about sport, engage in healthy activity and feel inspired to be their best
