Ceejay is a fast-growing engineering company specialising in precision machined parts, fabrication, onsite and offsite services for industries such as oil and gas, mining, defence and more. About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Perth operations and oversee Project Managers across six workshop sites. This senior leadership role involves high-level project oversight, hands-on operational support, and regular site visits to ensure project delivery, issue resolution, and team accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Project Managers to ensure efficient execution and workflow compliance
- Provide mentorship, technical input, and performance feedback
- Oversee project resourcing, procurement timelines, and interdepartmental coordination
- Conduct regular visits to all Ceejay workshop sites to monitor job progress
- Liaise with Workshop Supervisors to ensure scope clarity, proper resourcing, and outcome alignment
- Identify and resolve roadblocks, resource gaps, and risks
- Track performance across fabrication, machining, painting, assembly, and dispatch
- Attend client meetings and ensure effective stakeholder communication
- Assist PMs with technical queries, NCRs, and variations
- Promote a customer-focused approach while meeting commercial and delivery KPIs
- Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager on project status, financials, and resource use
- Collaborate across Estimation, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales for future planning
- Analyse project data to drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and delivery
Qualifications and Skiils:
- Tertiary qualification in a trade or engineering-related field
- 8+ years' PM experience, including 3+ years in leadership
- Managed projects up to $10M
- Background in mining, O&G, fabrication, or SMP
- Strong leadership, communication, and client skills
- Knowledge of contracts, QA/QC, ISO, and HSEQ
