Metallurgy Pty Ltd is a minerals processing metallurgical testing facility based in Welshpool. We have a solid reputation in the mining industry for delivering quality metallurgical testing services and producing results that are timely and reliable. We work with a wide variety of clients across multiple commodities simultaneously, ensuring work is diverse and interesting. We are currently growing our team and looking for a Project Metallurgist to assume key roles relating to physical and chemical testing of ore samples from local and overseas mine sites.
What the role entails:
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the role will include:

Management of testwork programs ranging from:
-
Comminution testing;
-
Gravity beneficiation;
-
Magnetic beneficiation;
-
Hydrometallurgical;
-
Flotation;
-
-
Bench to pilot scale projects;
-
Commissioning and development of new processes and procedures;
-
Liaise with clients to deliver the best result;
-
Active participation in meetings and processes to maintain laboratory safety.
We are seeking applicants for the role of Metallurgist who are keen and willing to further develop their skills through the variety of work this role will offer. Minimum requirements for this role include:

Hold a tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or equivalent;

Have 3 years experience as a Metallurgist;

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

Proven computer literacy in MS Office suite;
-
Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills;
-
Strong attention to detail;
-
Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
-
Successful completion of a pre-employment medical which will include a standard drug and alcohol test.
