ASCO's core business is providing materials management and logistics services to the Oil & Gas industry. In Western Australia we service our clients through the provision of Supply Base and associated materials management services as well as both fixed and mobile camp services.

A new and exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic, highly motivated, experienced Business Development Manager to contribute to the further growth of our core business, while also contributing to the diversification of our customer base in Mining, Renewables and 3PL.

Based in Welshpool and reporting to the Regional Development Manager, this position is responsible for facilitating the development of new business opportunities to meet Company annual EBIT target whilst maintaining strong relationships with the existing customer base.

What your role at ASCO will look like:

  • Manage proposal/tender/quotes processes from concept, drafting, submission and presentation.

  • Prepare initial assessment of the technical, financial, schedule or any other unusual risks associated with a proposal / bid.

  • Undertake detailed handover to operations, finance and commercial teams to ensure that the contract is delivered in accordance with planned budget / operational outcomes.

  • Respond to contractual communications and clarifications with customers.

  • Establish and maintain key industry relationships across all lines of business.

  • Generate sales opportunities and repeat business across all lines of business.

  • Promote the ASCO Brand and Reputation.

  • Schedule and undertake key customer visits in consultation with Senior Management direction.

  • Maintain customer relations database [Hubspot] pertaining to enquiries, leads, contact status, win/loss statistics, etc.

  • Establish Customer Engagement Plan.

What you can bring to ASCO:

  • Demonstrated experience in contract management

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to plan and manage priorities autonomously

  • Ability to manage quotations and assist on tender as required

  • Work harmoniously within a team environment

  • Knowledge of Employee Relations / Industrial Relations regulations and law

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in Commerce and/or Marketing (Desirable)

  • Business Development / account management experience in a similar role

  • Industry experience in Oil and Gas, mining, renewables and 3PL logistics

  • Police Clearance
