The Opportunity

We're seeking a passionate and skilled Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to join the team in Goulburn South.

In this role, you'll provide trauma-informed and person-centred support to women and children experiencing family violence. You'll work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver holistic, integrated responses that prioritise safety, recovery, and empowerment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting risk assessments and safety planning aligned with MARAM and FVISS frameworks
  • Providing crisis response, advocacy, and ongoing case management
  • Coordinating services with external partners and community organisations
  • Supporting access to emergency accommodation and essential resources
  • Participating in an after-hours on-call roster when required

About You

  • A Bachelor qualification in Social Work or equivalent under the Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Specialist Family Violence Practitioners
  • Demonstrated experience in family violence, crisis intervention, or related community services
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, risk assessment, and relevant Victorian frameworks
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads with professionalism and empathy
  • A current Victorian driver's licence, Working with Children Check, and clear police check
