The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.**Annual Salary** **Range:** $79,866 - $97,169 plus super**Employment Type**: Ongoing – Full Time **Usual Work Location**: Seymour**About the role:**Numbering over 800 staff, our Registration and Licensing (R&L) division significantly contributes to ensuring Victorians are safe on our roads by providing professional customer services, policy advice and specialist services to our customers.Reporting to the North East Victoria Regional Manager, we are seeking an Office Manager to assume day-to-day operational leadership of our Seymour Customer Service Centre (CSC).**About the job:*** Exercise independent judgement to effectively plan and organise workload to achieve agreed outcomes.* Identifies development needs for self and the team and make appropriate recommendations for development that meets the individual and business needs.* Use negotiation and influencing skills to encourage innovation and better work practices for improved business performance.* Provides supervision and training to staff on performance goals and criteria and how they can be achieved.* Uses conceptual and analytical skills to develop solutions, but seeks advice when needs to, to ensure actions are appropriate to situation.* Exercise professional judgement to identify possible breaches of legal requirements, policies and procedures and the Public Sector Code of Conduct and take appropriate action.**About the Ideal Candidate:*** Demonstrates strong people leadership skills and be passionate about leading, coaching, and mentoring staff.* Accountable and customer focused.* Supports innovation and continuous improvement combined with prior change management experience.* Possess an unwavering commitment to promote a healthy, compliant, and safe workplace.* Has an approachable and supportive manner treating staff with respect and understanding.* A team player who is not afraid to go above and beyond where required.* Willing to assist your team in day-to-day duties.**Our Culture:**Innovation powers progress, but it doesn’t come without support.
