**Role**:
The Wellbeing / Mental Health Leader will liaise with the Assistant Principal, Mental Health Practitioner and Wellbeing Team, who oversees the school referrals process.

The Wellbeing / Mental Health Leader's role in the school is primarily to assess and treat students who have been identified by the school as having psychological, emotional, learning and behavioral challenges. The Wellbeing / Mental Health Leader will liaise with teachers and parents abut the student and provide information, educational support and guidance and strategies to assist in the student's development.

The Wellbeing / Mental Health Leader and Assistant Principal will make decisions about assessments and/or therapies required for each student referred and the Wellbeing / Mental Health Leader will conduct assessments as required.

**Responsibilities**:
As a member of the leadership team within a school/s responsible for the management of the following:

- Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary professional team and contribute significantly to the achievements of the team.
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver or broker professional learning preferably for teachers and other relevant professionals in student engagement and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a comprehensive psychology service to schools including undertaking psychological assessments, counselling and referral for students and families.
- Highly-developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people within the education community and beyond.
- Highly experience in providing feedback and documentation of behavioral support plans and supporting teachers with challenging behavior.
- Demonstrated understanding of Disability Inclusion in schools.
