Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Key Account Manager – Automotive Logistics to join our growing team. This role is dedicated to managing large-scale automotive logistics accounts, ensuring seamless supply chain operations from vehicle manufacturing to final delivery. You will be responsible for strategic account leadership, customer experience management, and contract logistics solutions tailored to the automotive industry.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive industry clients, OEMs, and logistics stakeholders across Oceania.
  • Serve as the primary contact for major automotive accounts, ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • Develop and execute automotive-specific account strategies, including contract logistics solutions for inbound/outbound transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Lead strategic performance reviews, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met for vehicle distribution, spare parts logistics, and supply chain optimization.
  • Drive innovative process standardization and best practices within automotive logistics operations.
  • Monitor profitability, contract compliance, and volume tracking, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports and performance analytics tailored to automotive logistics, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, or business administration; specialized training in automotive logistics preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics and freight forwarding, with specialization in automotive supply chain management.
  • Deep understanding of contract logistics, including warehouse management, transportation, and inventory control in the automotive sector.
  • Expertise in automotive supply chain processes, including OEM logistics, parts distribution, and vehicle delivery networks.
  • Strong operational project management experience in automotive logistics and new client implementation.
  • Proficiency in CRM and CargoWise, with a keen ability to integrate technology into automotive logistics solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills, with a commitment to service excellence and operational efficiency.
