About the role

We're seeking a proactive and skilled Web Developer / SharePoint Online Specialist to join one of our state government clients.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with extensive, hands-on experience in SharePoint Online, particularly in editing and maintaining pages and sites, managing lists and libraries, setting and reviewing permissions, and resolving technical issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Edit, update and maintain SharePoint Online pages and sites.
  • Manage SharePoint lists, libraries and permissions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint and intranet-related technical issues.
  • Support a diverse queue of user requests and incidents.
  • Perform administrative and configuration tasks within the SharePoint environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of Power Platform applications.

Highly desirable criteria

  • Demonstrated experience working within SharePoint Online environments.
  • Strong understanding of permissions management, site configuration, and intranet content administration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Proven experience supporting end-users in a large or complex organisation.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (well regarded but not essential).
  • Familiarity with Power Platform tools, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for web content management.

Skills and experience

  • Hands-on experience in SharePoint Online administration and support.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound understanding of modern intranet management and governance principles.
  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • This position aligns with an AO5–AO6 equivalent level, depending on experience and capability.
