About the role
We're seeking a proactive and skilled Web Developer / SharePoint Online Specialist to join one of our state government clients.
This role is ideal for an experienced professional with extensive, hands-on experience in SharePoint Online, particularly in editing and maintaining pages and sites, managing lists and libraries, setting and reviewing permissions, and resolving technical issues.
Key responsibilities
- Edit, update and maintain SharePoint Online pages and sites.
- Manage SharePoint lists, libraries and permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint and intranet-related technical issues.
- Support a diverse queue of user requests and incidents.
- Perform administrative and configuration tasks within the SharePoint environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of Power Platform applications.
Highly desirable criteria
- Demonstrated experience working within SharePoint Online environments.
- Strong understanding of permissions management, site configuration, and intranet content administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Proven experience supporting end-users in a large or complex organisation.
Desirable criteria
- Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (well regarded but not essential).
- Familiarity with Power Platform tools, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for web content management.
Skills and experience
- Hands-on experience in SharePoint Online administration and support.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound understanding of modern intranet management and governance principles.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- This position aligns with an AO5–AO6 equivalent level, depending on experience and capability.
