The Opportunity
SRA Is Offering a GDLP Student a Voluntary (Unpaid) PLT Placement, Which Will Commence In October. This Is a Rare Opportunity For a Student To Gain Experience In An In-house Corporate Environment. You Will Be Supervised By Experienced Senior Lawyers, Who Will Provide You With Opportunities To

  • Develop a practical understanding of legal regulations and the role of SRA
  • Enhance your legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills through:
  • Contract review, drafting and negotiation
  • Legal research in different areas of law
  • Policy drafting and review
  • Develop stakeholder engagement through engagement with internal customers
  • Improve written and oral communication skills
  • Gain experience working in a professional environment
  • Understand the dynamics of an in-house legal team when dealing with other business units
  • Developing an understanding of the ethical and professional responsibilities of lawyers.

Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic students with the following attributes:

  • A law graduate, or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate law degree and is close to completing their studies
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet scheduled due dates
  • Willingness to try and learn new skills within the legal field in a corporate environment
  • A sense of humour.

Availability
