Support Worker

Immediate Start – Multiple casual after hours roles available. Rewarding and engaging work to assist older people living at home with personal care tasks.

• Casual work 3 to 4 days per week

• Competitive salary of $42.18 per hour plus penalty rates + paid travel time, paid kilometres and paid training time

• Minimum availability of at least 3 days from 5.00pm to 8.30pm between Monday to Friday essential.  Opportunity for additional hours earlier in the day and regular weekend work also available

• Regular clients located within the Glen Eira and Bayside Council areas including Caulfield, Murrumbeena, Ormond, Brighton, Sandringham, Beaumaris and surrounding suburbs

About the Role:

You will provide practical and personal assistance to older people living at home.

You will provide professional, respectful, and high-quality assistance to allow our clients to live their best life at home in the community.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting clients in their private homes with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and some light household tasks
• Ensuring clients receive a flexible and individualised response in accordance with their support plan
• Monitoring the ongoing health and well-being of clients and their carers and reporting concerns or observations
• Maintaining client dignity and respecting confidentiality at all times

What do we need from you?

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent qualification
• Be available a minimum of 3 days a week between 5-8.30pm
• A clear police check and working with children check (we will pay for these)
• Your own reliable car and a valid Victorian driver's license
