A Federal Government department is looking to engagea highly experienced Lead Cyber Security Architect to contribute to a major national transformation initiative This role offers the successful Cyber Security Architect the flexibility to be based in a wide range of locations Australia wide securing an initial 12 month contract plus a 12 month extension, and flexible hybrid work arrangements.

The successful Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Resolve complex IT security issues across diverse and detailed activities
  • Develop and implement initiatives to reduce technology risk and ensure compliance with PSPF, ISM, and agency frameworks
  • Create and maintain IT security standards, policies, procedures, and controls
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with security and compliance requirements
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and present architecture recommendations to senior leadership

The successful Cyber Security Architect will have experience in the following:

  • Extensive experience in cyber security architecture, including governance, risk, compliance frameworks, and working within Australian Government ICT standards and policy development.
  • Strong practical experience across Microsoft products and platforms, with in-depth knowledge of security standards, risk management, and greenfield environment assessments.
  • Proven experience working in agile environments with the ability to adapt to changing project directions and evolving stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT or applicable industry certifications, with the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
