Your New Role
In the role of Senior Manager Legal and Compliance Member Growth you will serve as the primary point of contact for legal and compliance matters across our Member Growth division and will be accountable for ensuring we have a strong focus on compliance when executing our initiatives. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Act as the primary legal and compliance contact, providing expert advice across superannuation, corporations, SPAM, privacy, and data protection law.
- Review and advise on legal documents, contracts, disclosure materials, and promotional content.
- Uplift approval processes and maintain a library of pre-approved statements for marketing and communications.
- Consult on compliance enablement and governance under the FAR Regime.
- Provide training on compliance-related topics and policies.
- Strong technical knowledge in financial services laws concerning superannuation (including insurance in super), managed investment schemes, Spam, Privacy, financial advice, trusts and corporations.
- Proficiency and confidence in conducting legal and compliance research autonomously in unfamiliar areas and providing accurate, clear and timely guidance.
- Extensive knowledge of the regulatory compliance landscape and proven ability to adapt operational practice in accordance with it.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences and formats, including legal documents, board papers, and regulatory correspondence.
- Tertiary qualifications in Law. With 5 years in the financial services sector.
