About the Role
The Manager, Restorative Engagement, information and Support, plays a crucial leadership role implementing the Department's reforms to strengthen information and support for victim-survivors of historical child sexual abuse in Victorian government schools.
This role will sit within the Branch's Restorative Engagement, Information and Support unit. The Manager will lead components of work across the reform streams based on the skills, qualifications and experience they bring to the role, which might include management of the unit's online information hub and telephone service for victim-survivors, management of the counselling assistance payments program, leading communications, governance processes, and reporting requirements, supporting internal and intergovernmental committees, and managing victim-survivor and other stakeholder consultation and engagements.
The Manager will also play an important leadership role in strategic planning, training and induction, staff wellbeing, research, development and ongoing maintenance of branch documentation, processes and procedures, business rules, records management, reporting, and evaluation.
The Manager may be required to support the case work of the branch's Sexual Harm Response unit and will also perform other duties across the branch and broader division as required.

Mandatory Qualifications
Qualifications in social sciences, counselling, law, or other relevant qualification is essential.
About the Branch
The Restorative Engagement, Information and Support (RESS) branch is responsible for supporting Victorian government schools and the department respond to current and historical incidents of child sexual abuse by an adult working in a Victorian government school. The Branch has two units:
- The Restorative Engagement, Information and Support unit, which is responsible for implementing a number of reforms to strengthen supports for victim survivors of historical child sexual abuse in Victorian government schools including management of an online hub and telephone service for victim-survivors, establishing and operating a restorative engagement program, publishing and maintaining a policy on memorials in schools, and supporting the Victorian government's public apology to be delivered in Parliament for victim survivors of child sexual abuse in government schools.
- The Sexual Harm Response unit which supports schools and other areas of the department respond to allegations, findings and charges of child sexual abuse by an adult working in a Victorian government school, with a focus on child safety and wellbeing
The Branch manages a variety of functions to support its two work units including the department's counselling assistance payments for current and former students who have experienced child sexual abuse by an adult working in a government school, the branch's case and records management system, and reporting to senior leaders on the work of the branch.

OPSEC Division is responsible for a range of functions, with a collective overarching focus on supporting schools with child safety, operational policy and compliance activities, reducing administrative and compliance burden for schools, and streamlining the volume and timing of communications to schools.
