About the role:
The Regional Manager will have the management responsibility for the overall service delivery for their residential houses, and people management responsibility for their team in the specific geographical area.
This position will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to address placement and support needs of the Children and Young People and deliver a range of quality support services to expand business and establish Foundations Care as a provider of choice.
This position will oversee the quality and outputs of services within the regions, leading by best practice examples and be a hands-on support for staff where required and in situations of complexity. You will be competent in establishing and maintaining key relationships and be enthusiastic and competent in demonstrating core capability in team financials, operational requirements, and organisational and human resource processes, whilst working closely with those departments.
The Regional Manager is the first Senior Manager escalation point for all out of hours emergency situations. You will need to be able to work flexible hours.
Planned travel for work purposes, including attendance at residential houses and all stakeholder meetings for the region is a requirement.
About you:
As a qualified Manager, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, you will have the knowledge and experience in relation to the below core areas:
Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, youth and family support networks, government department/s and communities to build effective partnerships to maximise the responsiveness of the service and our business.
- Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, including the identification of staffing needs and active involvement in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members whilst ensuring that mandatory training requirements are met across the region.
- Strong knowledge of rostering and approval of timesheets in line with the relevant Award
- Reporting on quarterly compliance to meet HSQF standards for the region in addition to strong knowledge of budgets, funding applications and submissions
- Incident Management – lead for responsibility on emergency issues and incidents and ensure these are managed within Organisational policies and Departmental requirements and timeframes.
- Provide support to other regions and service delivery staff/teams as required.
Training/Qualifications
- Minimum a Cert IV Child, Youth & Family Intervention (Residential Care) or hold another recognised qualification in Community, Youth Work or Human Services or relevant diploma/ tertiary qualification.
- Degree/Qualification in child-family or related human services area - desirable
- Tertiary qualification in Management - desirable
