Efiniti Telecommunications Services is a lead supplier of professional services in the Telecommunications and Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industry. Efiniti is an Australian owned and based company that specialises in these fields across three business sectors — Carrier & ICT, Corporate & Government, and Technology Vendor.
We are looking for an IT Officer to join our ICT division team as we embark on an expanding our ITC services. In this role you will be responsible to support internal IT team as well as managing ICT Projects and coordinating with our clients.
Key Accountabilities:
- Participating in long-medium term decisions concerning the organisation's ICT direction, requirements, and day to day operations
- Responsible for developing and maintaining internal IT Policies e.g., Data Breach, Business Continuity, BYOD
- Monitor, contribute and support the IT department; ensuring systems, methodologies and procedures are updated time to time, in place and followed
- Support incident management by ensuring IT Infrastructure service is restored promptly and effectively, whilst minimising adverse effect on business operations
- Install and configure operating systems and other software as well as routinely testing installed software for glitch detection and other issues
- Process IT Infrastructure design within agreed timeframes including performing routine and ad-hoc administration and performance checks on infrastructure systems and datacentre environments
- Ensure all systems and services delivered to our client in timely manner, comply with business requirements including monitoring, reporting, training, and documentation
- Maintain a close working relationship with the various teams, clients, higher management, and all project managers as necessary to achieve the desired outcomes
- Provide dedicated on call support and be available through multiple communication platforms with a strong emphasis on overall availability with rapid response times. This may include odd hours (early morning, nights, and weekends) and on occasion, at home support
Qualification & Technical skills:
- Degree/Tertiary qualifications in IT Management/Computer Science., including at least 3 years IT experience at a senior level
- AWS or Microsoft Azure certification would be highly regarded
- Proven track record in IT project management, people management and leadership skills, together with professional standards of planning and budgeting
- Sound technical knowledge and prior experience of TCP/IP Network Technology and Management (CCNA or CCNP level)
- Networks and security vendor firewall appliances, i.e., Cisco, Netgear, Fortinet, Sophos etc
- Windows Desktop Support Environment: Windows 10 OS, MS 365 App Suite, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Windows Server Administration including DNS, Active Directory, GPO, IIS, WSUS etc.
Desirables:
- Server management (Windows/Linux)
- O365 Administration
- Experience with network storage device NAS (Synology, Thecus), network printer, WAP
- Office 365 Products (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and MS Teams)
- Active Directory Management Tools
- Sound knowledge of TCP/IP and service provider networks
- Experience with Networking (configuring firewalls/routers/switches)
- Remote support (VPN, RDS)
- Virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)
- VOIP, SIP
- Knowledge of disaster recovery application e.g., Veeam.
Preferred:
- Microsoft certification
- Cisco certification
- ITIL
