About the Role: Rostering Officer

As the Rostering Officer, you will be responsible for managing both participant and staff rosters, ensuring that schedules align with individual NDIS plans, operational needs, and legal requirements. You will be the key point of contact for roster management, overseeing scheduling changes, availability updates, and ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

Your role will also involve general office administration, supporting professional development, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Experience

  • Ideally, 2+ years' experience in the Disability or Community Services sector
  • Solid understanding of disability, mental health, and the needs of carers and Participants
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs and behaviours
  • Coaching and mentoring skills

Required Certifications

  • QLD Provisional Green or Open Driver's Licence + comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • First Aid & CPR (Nationally Recognised)
  • Proof of COVID vaccination (2 doses)

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with the SCHADS Award 2010 (Social, Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Industry Award)
  • Previous rostering experience (essential)
  • Experience in 24-hour Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including data management and reporting
  • Understanding of privacy and confidentiality standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with SCHADS Award and Fair Work requirements when rostering staff
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Participants and Lifestyle Facilitators regarding roster changes and scheduling
  • Schedule Lifestyle Facilitators based on qualifications, experience, and the needs of Participants
  • Develop and maintain participant rosters, ensuring appropriate staff coverage at all times
  • Participate in on-call duties as rostered
  • Assist in covering shifts and maintaining continuity of care for Participants
  • Keep accurate records of all communication, incidents, and scheduling updates
  • Organize and coordinate staff training in consultation with the Service Delivery team
  • Report incidents and ensure documentation is completed and filed correctly
  • Provide detailed reports as required, both internally and externally
  • Assist with general office duties, such as answering phones and filing
  • Update phone systems to ensure calls are directed to the appropriate staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.65 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
