About the opportunity:

The Strategy & Reporting Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the strategic planning, performance reporting, and data-driven decision-making processes of the Fund. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality analysis, insights, and reporting to inform executive leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the Fund's strategic objectives and regulatory obligations.

The successful candidate will bring a strong financial and commercial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and deliver Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Performance reporting requirements to Management and the Board
  • Strategic Planning and Performance Management: Support the strategic and annual business planning process, performance reporting, and development of key documents, minutes, reports, and presentations
  • Strategic Planning and Performance Management: Work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Leadership Team to provide high-quality analysis and insights. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract, collate, and transform large datasets to deliver insights and reports that enhance decision-making. Develop and maintain databases, create interactive visualizations, and ensure data integrity and quality
  • Evaluate and enhance internal systems for efficiency and data integrity and quality
  • Review internal and external documents and reports and synthesise data into actionable information, insights and recommendations for presentations and reports
  • Support Chief Strategy Office and Executive as directed

About you

You will be organised, commercially astute, and financially savvy, with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for turning data into meaningful report and insights. You thrive in complex, regulated environments and bring a strategic lens to everything you do. Your ability to distil large volumes of information into clear, actionable recommendations will be key to supporting executive decision-making and driving performance across the Fund.

You will have a solid foundation in strategy, reporting, and data analysis, ideally gained through experience in government, financial services, superannuation, or similar sectors. Your technical proficiency spans advanced Excel and you're comfortable working with large datasets, building visualisations, and maintaining data integrity. Exposure and usage of data visualisation tools like Power BI and AI tools will be highly regarded.

You will be confident communicating with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Leadership Team, and capable of managing competing priorities under pressure. Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you understand the importance of accuracy in reporting, with intermediate to advanced skills in PowerPoint and Word (M365 suite). You're adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement—whether that's refining internal systems or enhancing strategic planning processes.

You will also bring a sound understanding of governance, business performance, financial management, and regulatory frameworks.

To be successful, you must address the selection criteria below in a cover letter:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a strategy, reporting, or analytical role within government, financial services, superannuation or similar highly regulated environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data transformation techniques and analysis to derive visualisation, insights and recommendations
  • Exposure and usage of data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Intermediate to advanced Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, M365

Remuneration

ASO5 – $85,790 - $95,413, plus superannuation
