Brave Health Group is seeking a passionate fully registered Psychologist to join our friendly family owned business in Blackburn South with no KPI's.
As a Psychologist, (not provisional) you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health support and counselling services to our diverse client base. This is a contract position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a growing, dynamic organisation.
Applying a holistic approach, our newly renovated practice boasts an onsite commercial equipped gym (free for you to use) and commercial sized kitchen.
We also have an onsite reformer pilates studio, remedial massage, chiropractor, dental technician and nurse services.
Most Importantly our friendly team is welcoming and very supportive.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for clients
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and other modalities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care
- Maintain detailed client records and adhere to all relevant professional standards and ethical guidelines
- Contribute to the continued development and improvement of our mental health services
We are looking for a psychologist to assist us with a variety of clientele streams including the private sector, disability sector, first responder & military (emergency services) and workplace employee support.
We are accommodating and flexible to your preferences, depending on your experience and interest, which may be in one or all of these fields (and we triage to suit these preferences). We also welcome those more interested in working with first responders and military as this is a specialty area we offer in addition to other clientele services.
In return Brave Health Group offer a very generous clinician payment and do not charge any room fees that some others charge. As well we do the administrative paperwork for you so you can concentrate on treating your clients. No more wasted time spent invoicing
We offer contract work so you have the flexibility of working part time/full time hours for a great work/life balance with telehealth services also available, working from home should you choose. This can include a set day or days.
We find new clinicians are best suited to a gradual start and are seeking that this build to working 1-5 days a week however we also welcome individuals that may wish to work nights or weekends perhaps in addition to other employment.
The right candidates will be energetic, passionate, driven and have a strong work ethic with great communication skills.
You will require:
- Current full registration (not provisional) with AHPRA
- Professional Indemnity Insurance (this can be done once applicant is successful)
- A current Police Check
- A current Working with Children Check (this can be done once applicant is successful)
- A Provider Number for our practice (this can be done once applicant is successful)
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based psychological therapies, including CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to client care
Depending on the applicants' experience, suitability and desire, we can discuss your preferred streams of work and triage accordingly with a gradual workload to assist you.
For those wishing to work with NDIS clientele an interest and understanding of Autism, ADHD and working with neurodiverse individuals is desirable.
We can also offer supervision (peer) with our Principal Psychologist.

Together with our Commercial Sized Kitchen & Cooking school, vast open areas including Courtyard Outdoor Seating, Onsite Commercial Gym, Animal Assisted Therapy and of course our pilates studio, we believe our practice certainly stands out from the others.
