PurposeWe are seeking a motivated Architectural Designer with 3–5 years' experience to join our design management team. This role will support the delivery of high-quality residential developments by assisting in design reviews, feasibility studies, compliance checks, and coordination with consultants. The ideal candidate will be creative, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced property development environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Support
- Review consultant documentation to ensure compliance with ARADA fitness-for-purpose standards and all statutory/regulatory requirements (e.g., NCC, ADG, SEPP, DCP).
- Contribute to feasibility studies, massing/block studies, and ADG compliance checks.
- Prepare design documentation/ brief and materials for consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Research products, materials, and sustainable design initiatives aligned with project objectives.
- Mentor junior staff and support the development of a high-performing, design-focused culture.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with ARADA's design team and cross-functional departments to achieve project objectives.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the Senior Design Manager with project coordination and deliverables.
Compliance, Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Ensure all design documentation adheres to established standards, formats, and content requirements.
- Maintain accurate filing and archiving of project data upon completion.
- Stay up to date with statutory regulations, design best practices, and sustainability trends.
Marketing & Development Support
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to prepare and review marketing materials.
- Contribute to the preparation of marketing plans and presentations.
- Support development teams with cost-benefit analysis and feasibility assessments.
Qualifications s Knowledge
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Urban Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of NSW planning systems, DA/SSDA pathways, and authority processes.
- Proficient in consultant coordination and design governance for large-scale residential and mixed-use projects.
- Passionate about high-quality design outcomes with a customer-centric mindset.
- 3–5 years of experience in design, architecture, or property development.
- Strong background in residential (Class 2) design.
- Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk Forma (highly preferred).
- Familiarity with CAD/BIM standards and documentation processes.
- Experience in front-end feasibility, block planning, massing, and development applications.
- Knowledge of statutory regulations, planning frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Leadership – Able to lead and influence diverse teams with authority and clarity.
- Design Thinking – Conceptual and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance creativity and practicality.
- Collaboration – Strong communicator who thrives in cross-functional environments with development, delivery, and sales.
