About us

MRM Lawyers are an established Hunter law firm. Our civil commercial litigation practice is expanding and we are looking for a dynamic, smart, driven Lawyer to add to our commercial litigation practice.

We have a significant number of matters in the New South Wales Supreme, District and Local Courts and New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal and a busy practice involved with pre-litigation and commercial strategy.

The role provides an opportunity for the the right candidate to work on their own civil litigation matters as well as working as part of our commercial team and provides a strong basis to expand professional experience and develop new skills as part of a young, strong and robust group.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent qualification)
  • Ability to manage and progress commercial matters

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Day to day carriage of Commercial and Litigation matters including with the preparation of contracts, leases, pleadings, affidavits, notices and general correspondence.
  • Briefing and instructing Counsel, attending interlocutory hearings, preparation for and instructing at litigated hearings and conferences with expert witnesses.
  • Day to day file management including data and document collation, maintenance and closure.
  • Some day to day carriage of industrial deafness matters including the preparation of correspondence, applications, forms, statements and pleadings.
