The Opportunity

Are you looking for a role that balances employment law and commercial advisory work?

We're offering an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with at least 3 years PQE to join our growing team. This role is designed for someone who wants exposure to both employment and commercial law, handling high-quality client matters across both practice areas.

You'll enjoy real responsibility, be included in decision-making, and have the autonomy to manage your own matters, all within a supportive team that values collaboration, growth, and delivering excellent outcomes.


The Work

This role is genuinely varied, offering a mix of employment and commercial matters:

Employment

  • Advising employers on workplace rights, contracts, and policies
  • Managing unfair dismissal and general protections claims
  • Providing strategic HR advice
  • Drafting employment and contractor agreements
  • Advising on modern awards, enterprise agreements, and compliance obligations

Commercial

  • Business and share sales & acquisitions
  • Joint venture and partnership structuring
  • Commercial agreements (supply, service, licensing)
  • Advising on financial and security documents
  • General commercial advice
  • Commercial property transactions – sales, purchases, and leasing

About You

You're someone who:

  • Has solid experience in employment and commercial law, and a willingness to grow across both areas
  • Holds yourself to high standards of quality, professionalism, and prompt service
  • Enjoys working closely with clients to provide practical, commercial solutions
  • Has strong communication skills, works well independently and within a team
  • Is keen to mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm's growth through networking and business development
