The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Full-time Contract Officer to manage and streamline our contracting processes. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our operations by ensuring that all engagement and compliance agreements are accurate, timely, and aligned with legal and financial standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate engagement letters, compliance contracts, and variations for individuals, businesses, and external partners.
• Prepare and distribute financial documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Develop business proposals, negotiate terms and pricing, and foster long-term client relationships through effective engagement management.
• Liaise with external partners to align contract terms with financial objectives.
• Respond promptly to internal and external queries regarding contracts and engagement documentation.
• Manage the preparation and response process for ethical and accountant reference letters.
• Clearly communicate contractual terms, services, and financial commitments through engagement letters.
• Maintain accurate records of all documentation and ensure contracts are renewed and updated on schedule.
• Analyse contract terms to identify potential risks and provide informed advice to clients.
• Stay up to date with relevant legislation and work collaboratively with legal and compliance teams.
• Explain complex contractual and engagement requirements to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with tax, financial, and statutory obligations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to mitigate risks and maximise contract value.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in a similar contract or compliance role for at least 3 years, preferably within accounting, legal, or financial services
• Relevant Qualification in Management
• Strong knowledge of contract law, compliance, and engagement processes
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
