About the role:
We are currently seeking a motivated Personal Care Worker to join our team in Castlemaine and Maldonon aCasualbasis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality care to our aged care clients within an in-home care setting. We are looking for dependable candidates who can work flexible hours, preferably on Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist clients at home with personal care tasks like showering, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Support clients to stay independent by helping them go out for shopping, appointments, and community activities.
- Communicate any client concerns or feedback to the care team to ensure quality service.
- Maintain client privacy and dignity, and encourage the same among team members and contractors.
- Report consumer risks to management, including inappropriate behaviours or actions not aligned to our values.
- Attend regular scheduled training to maintain your level of skill.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
- Based in Castlemaine, Maldon or nearby suburbs.
- Completed Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support or above.
- Current valid Level II First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working within the Aged Care Sector or with Elderly people is advantageous.
- Current Australian Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance.
