2x temporary, full-time vacancies up to 6 months.
The Intelligence Analyst is accountable to a nominated Intelligence Supervisor/Manager/Coordinator or Senior Analyst and is responsible for identifying and reporting on existing and evolving patterns and trends relating to the responsibilities of South Australia Police. Through research, data analysis and the preparation of detailed tactical and/or strategic products, the incumbent will provide considerations for managers to enable informed decision making relating to identified issues.

Special Conditions

• The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
• Although not essential an appropriate tertiary qualification in intelligence, research, data and/or statistical analysis will be considered favourably.
• The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
• Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
• The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.

Salary
ASO4 - $76,561 - $80,256 per annum.

Applicants must submit a covering letter addressing the essential minimum requirements of the role outlined in the Position Information Document, a current resume and the contact information of three referees including your current line manager.Applicants external to SAPOL must complete an RF2099 Pre-Employment Declaration Form and submit this with their application. Within your cover letter, you are required to address your suitability against all the essential minimum requirements of the PID specifically focussing on the criteria:

• Sound research and analytical skills and ability to forecast trends and patterns from collected data.
• Demonstrated sound oral communication skills, including the ability to provide formal briefings at management level within an organisation.
• Demonstrated sound ability to produce clear, concise and accurate assessments and reports to meet operational and strategic objectives.
• Sound ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and to work effectively as an individual or as a member of a multi-skilled team.
• Experience in problem analysis and the recommendation of effective solutions.
• Experience in the use of computerised information management systems to interpret data and provide advice and recommendations on appropriate courses of action.
