About the role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Poultry Farm Hand to join our team at South Toolburra Farms' in Warwick, Queensland. As a casual role, this position will involve hands-on work in the day-to-day operations of our poultry farm. If you have a passion for agriculture and animal care, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our family-owned farm.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with the feeding, watering and general care of our poultry flock

  • Monitoring the health and well-being of the birds, and reporting any issues to the Farm Manager

  • Maintaining the cleanliness and biosecurity of the poultry sheds and equipment

  • Supporting the team with other general farm duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience working on a poultry farm or in a similar agricultural role desired.

  • Suit a Warwick local, as no accomodation availble on farm, untill after a qualifing period.

  • We are looking for long term employees, so no visitors or Visas.

  • Strong animal husbandry skills and a demonstrable passion for animal welfare

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures

  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks

  • A team-oriented approach and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the farm

  • Must have own vehicle and drivers licence, as there is no public transport.
