Our client is a very well-established mixed farm operation near the bustling rural centre of Warwick. A multi-generational farming operation, our client has expanded to include farms throughout the Darling Downs to ensure a continuous supply of their produce to markets. Long-term sustainability and land rejuvenation are the backbone of our client’s farm management practices. As such, they undertake a structured crop rotation program that includes several horticultural & fodder crops and livestock grazing.

With such a diverse operation, our client needs a farm hand who is looking for a more challenging role to join the established crew. Due to the geography of our client’s farm, GPS cannot be successfully used so all tractor operating and adjusting has to be done manually. All ground prep, planting, spraying and harvesting is done with visual markers and instinct honed through experience. If you pride yourself on your machinery operating skills, this role will put you to the test. You will be working under the direct supervision of the farm manager, who holds daily toolbox meetings when daily tasks are assigned.

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate all or most of the following attributes:

- Previous experience with horticultural crops
- Previous experience operating machinery on hilly country
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to integrate with existing company culture
- Have held long-term roles in the past
- Forklift ticket - highly desirable
- MC licence - highly desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in packing sheds -advantageous
