We are excited to offer this opportunity to join our family irrigated and dryland farming operation on the Darling Downs in Queensland. The position is full time with an immediate start.
We are looking for someone wanting permanency.

Ideally the Applicant will have a proven track record in farming, however all applications are welcomed and encouraged from interested people who see themselves in such a role.
The successful Applicant will have the satisfaction of becoming a valued member of our high achieving, successful family farming operation. We have received Darling Downs and Australian Cotton Growers Awards.

The Schmelzer Farms aggregation is located in mild and reliable rainfall areas .The area is known for having some of Australia`s highest performing farms.

The Schmelzer Farms aggregation is approximately 30 minutes drive from Dalby and Jandowae, a one and a half hour drive from Toowoomba and a three hour drive from Brisbane .

Schmelzer Farms grow cotton, wheat, barley, mung beans, chick peas, and some cattle. This production is supported by modern John Deere and Case machinery, Boss planters and Swarmbot robotic sprayer.

On-farm accommodation is provided in a comfortable, airconditioned family home . The yard area surrounding the home is fully fenced.

Good schools are located nearby at Jimbour and Jandowae .The provided accommodation is on the school bus route.

Included in the salary package is a work ute, iPhone and the on-farm accommodation. The salary package will be commensurate with experience. Support and supervision to the successful Applicant will be provided by our Cropping and Irrigation Manager.
