About the Job
Deliver high-quality asset data for SA Water's GIS asset register to support planning, operations and service delivery. This role ensures data integrity across critical infrastructure systems and supports management of data to ensure it is fit for current and future needs.
About Sustainable Infrastructure
The Sustainable Infrastructure group is dedicated to maximising value for customers and the community by developing innovative and optimised infrastructure plans, and overseeing the planning, construction, delivery, and maintenance of water and sewerage assets across the state and business.
Your responsibilities for this opportunity
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
You will:
- Review asset data handover packages from capital projects, ensuring compliance with GIS and asset register standards
- Develop and implement data management plans and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide technical expertise in systems such as GIS, Maximo, and Meridian
- Support data architecture design and contribute to corporate asset register governance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Capital Delivery, Growth, Field Ops, and Asset Planning
Your success in this role will come from:
- Qualifications in information systems, data management, or a related field
- Experience working with GIS, Python, or SQL
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- A detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
- Prior exposure to infrastructure or utilities environments
- Confidence in providing professional feedback and guiding stakeholders to meet data standards
