About the Role

This role supports the delivery of secure and efficient passport services to the Australian public. As part of a dedicated production team, you will assist with the processing of passport applications and the operation of production systems that ensure accurate and timely service delivery. The role contributes to maintaining the integrity, security, and quality of travel documents issued on behalf of the Australian Government.

Essential Requirements

  • Australian citizenship (mandatory)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance

Key Duties

Under general supervision, the Production Officer will:

  • Scan and process passport applications and supporting documentation
  • Conduct photo scanning, cleaning, and basic suitability checks
  • Manage exceptions, including incorrectly marked applications and re-scanning tasks
  • Perform administrative and production tasks such as data verification, image enhancement, and quality authorisation
  • Assist with record management, mail sorting, destruction of records, and filing
  • Ensure accurate data entry and adherence to processing standards
  • Maintain confidentiality, security, and attention to detail in all aspects of work
