We're on the hunt for an energetic Cook to join our fast-paced, casual lunch bar in Murarrie. If you love honest, flavour-packed food but are tired of late nights, weekends, and split shifts — this is your chance to take ownership of a kitchen, work alongside a supportive team, and still enjoy your evenings and weekends free.

The Role:

You'll be the go-to person in the kitchen, managing daily prep, cooking short-order breakfast and lunch items, and keeping everything running smoothly. We serve a loyal local crowd from the industrial precinct — think brekkie wraps, toasties, burgers, salads, and grab-and-go options done well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prep and cook breakfast and lunch menu items.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene to food safety standards.
  • Manage stock levels, prep lists, and daily ordering.
  • Work efficiently and independently during service.
  • Keep food quality and consistency on point every day.

Who You Are:

  • You've worked as a cook in cafes, lunch bars, or short-order kitchens (1+ years preferred).
  • You're reliable, calm under pressure, and a true team player.
  • You're confident in running a small kitchen with great time management.
  • You take pride in keeping a clean, organised workspace.
  • Food Safety Certificate preferred but not essential.
  • You love good vibes, good food, and working with a team that values both.

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time

Expected Hours: 25 – 40 hours per week

Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour (experience based)

Work Days: Monday to Friday

Work Location: On-site, Murarrie QLD

Physical Setting: Bistro, Café, Lunchbar, Quick service & fast food restaurant

Experience: commercial cooking: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Authorisation: PR or Australian Citizen (Required)
