About the Role
Join a supportive and dynamic hospital team as a Ward Clerk, where your work plays a vital role in ensuring smooth ward operations and effective patient care. You will provide general clerical and confidential administrative support, assisting with bed management, patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, while fostering a collaborative team environment.
In this role, you will liaise closely with clinical and nursing staff, train new ward clerks, and coordinate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Your contribution will directly support high-quality patient care and the efficient functioning of the ward, making a real difference to both patients and colleagues alike.
About You
You are a reliable and adaptable professional with strong administrative skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven administrative experience, including use of Microsoft Office, office equipment, and maintaining confidentiality in all tasks.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and implement new procedures.
- Knowledge of customer service principles, Equal Opportunity, and Occupational Health Safety and Welfare policies, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
