We're on the hunt for an organised, proactive, and positive Track and WHS Administrator to join our team. If you thrive on keeping everything running like clockwork, have a passion for Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), and enjoy contributing to a positive workplace culture, this is the role for you.

About Us:

At Tasracing, racing is our passion. Tasracing is Tasmania's Principal Racing Authority, entrusted with the comprehensive development and promotion of the state's racing industry. As the governing body, we oversee the ongoing growth of racing and breeding, market Tasmanian racing to local, national, and international audiences, fund race clubs, provide stakes and prize money, manage racing venues, and ensure the smooth operation of race day activities. Our work is driven by a commitment to growing and sustaining the racing industry, with a strong focus on animal welfare and integrity.

With over 150 years of history and a team of over 250 employees, we're committed to building a united and vibrant industry Tasmania can be proud of.

The Role:

As a vital member of the Tracks and Facilities team, you'll support the Senior Track and Facilities Manager in ensuring our facilities and tracks operate efficiently and safely. Your role will focus on administration, compliance, WHS standards, and facilities maintenance coordination, making you an essential part of the Tasracing team. You'll also work closely with stakeholders across the organisation and externally, contributing to the seamless execution of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Coordination: Manage training records, invoices, contractor inductions, and maintenance logs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Safety and Compliance: Assist in developing and implementing WHS policies, oversee and action external safety audits, and monitor incident reporting.
  • Facilities Coordination: Organise and liaise with contractors for routine and preventative maintenance, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of issues.
  • Project Support: Support the delivery of projects and contribute to long-term asset management planning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and racing participants to foster collaboration and success.
What You'll Bring
  • A tertiary qualification in WHS or Business Management.
  • At least three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, complimented by outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude and a knack for juggling multiple priorities while staying calm under pressure.
  • Tech-savviness, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
  • A current "C" class driver's license.

Why Choose Tasracing:

Join Tasracing, where you're not just starting a job – you're stepping into a vibrant and exciting environment filled with opportunities to attend racing functions and key events. We believe in investing in our leaders, who work alongside our teams to achieve amazing results every day. Plus, we know how to have fun together as a team.

What We Offer:
