Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled full-time family lawyer, with minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience to join our vibrant family law team. You will be working on complex and impactful cases, contributing to meaningful legal outcomes.

Location: Sydney/Newtown NSW

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft and prepare legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Engage in complex family law matters including financial agreements, surrogacy agreements, property settlements and parenting arrangements.
  3. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
  4. Collaborate with solicitors, paralegals and clients to develop case strategies and provide legal advice and first-class representation.
  5. Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective case progression.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Admission as a Solicitor in NSW with 5+ years of post-qualification experience, including a current NSW practicing certificate.
  2. Demonstrated experience in preparation and management of proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  4. A commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving positive outcomes for clients with absolute professionalism.

Desirable Attributes:

  1. Previous experience working in a similar role or with a focus on the specified areas of law.
  2. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  3. Enthusiasm for professional development and a desire to stay updated on legal trends and changes.
  4. A willingness to attend firm-sponsored events and collaborate with teams in other practice areas of the firm.

Salary: $150,000-180,000 dependent upon experience
