This is your chance to support a client living with a spinal cord injury who values their independence, decision-making, and the comfort of living at home.

About the RoleYou'll be supporting with:

  • Transfers (2:1 support in the mornings, 1:1 in the evenings) using a ceiling-mounted sling hoist
  • Personal care (bowel care, catheter care, pressure care)
  • Medication assistance (including S8 medications – careful counts required at each shift)
  • Meal preparation & household duties
  • Transport to appointments (you'll need your licence + your own insured vehicle)

This role is supported by clear care plans including pain management, catheter support, and complex bowel care—so you'll always feel confident and guided in your work.

Shifts

  • Morning: 7:30am – 10:00am (2:1 support)
  • Evening: 7:30pm – 9:30pm (1:1 support)
  • Days: Monday to Sunday (regular, consistent roster)

Pay Rates (Casual – SCHADS Award, Level 3.1)

  • Base hourly rate: $35.15
  • Afternoon shift: $38.67
  • Active night shift: $39.37
  • Saturday: $49.21
  • Sunday: $63.27
  • Public holiday: $77.33

About You

You'll shine in this role if you have:

  • Experience in spinal cord injury or TBI support (highly valued, but not essential)
  • Skills in manual handling, hoisting, and transfers
  • Confidence in personal care, pressure care, bowel & catheter support (training available if needed)
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, Driver's Licence + insured vehicle, First Aid & CPR
