ABOUT THE ROLE

The VIC Operations Manager supports the State Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, works across different sites provides temporary support and management for housekeeping departments at multiple locations.

This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction within all areas of the property, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and has a keen eye for detail.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Visit multiple properties or locations as needed, stepping in for absent Housekeeping Managers, being hands-on whenever needed.
  • Assist in managing the housekeeping team, including supervisor, room attendants, public area attendants, and houseman.
  • Coordinate daily work schedules, allocate rooms, and delegate tasks to ensure effective cleaning coverage.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and service expectations.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Train staff on safety protocols and proper usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain records of cleaning schedules, stock levels, and staff attendance.
  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper with scheduling, budgeting, and performance evaluations.

ABOUT YOU

As someone with previous experience in the hospitality industry, you will possess a passion for delivering excellent service.

  • Minimum of 3 years in housekeeping or a related role, with managerial experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in housekeeping management software is advantageous.
