Berrigan Children's Centre is an incredible, early education service offering long day care, before school care, after school care and vacation care programs to our community.

Our centre is set in the relaxed, friendly town of Berrigan, a stone's throw from the Murray River. The freshly renovated space is an engaging and supportive space for the children to learn, while our wonderful outdoor area with big shady trees is the perfect platform for nature based, child lead play.

Berrigan Children's Centre is looking for our next Early Childhood Educational Leader to support the education of our genial community. Join our dynamic and motivated team of educators to create an inspiring and engaging learning environment in a very rare full-time, permanent opportunity (negotiable).

Berrigan Children's Centre offers above-award remuneration for full-time and part-time Early Childhood Educators, with an additional supplement of $4,567 (pro- rata) for the educational leadership role.

Educational Leader

This is a full-time or part-time position for an experienced Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator, to join the dedicated team at the Berrigan Children's Centre. As the Educational Leader, you will support the planning and delivery of the educational program across the centre. You will play a key role in building educator capability, leading reflective conversations and supporting our team to embed high-quality practice in everyday routines and interactions. You'll collaborate with our Early Childhood Teacher and our educators to help inspire, educate and assist them in their roles to provide consistency and continuity across the service.

This role is the perfect opportunity to inspire and support our educators, while showcasing your knowledge, leadership and experience in early childhood education.

About the Role:

• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that promote the learning and development of children aged 0-12 years
• Observing and assessing children's progress, and using this information to tailor learning experiences
• Building positive relationships with children, families and the broader community
• Ensuring a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborating with other educators to share knowledge and best practices, and support them in their endeavours
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Adhering to all relevant early childhood education regulations and centre policies
• Mentoring and supporting our team of amazing educators
• Full time or part time available – negotiable

Who We're Looking For:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
• Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)
• A deep understanding of the EYLF, NQS and child development
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A warm, collaborative and reflective teaching style
• Proven experience in an early education position
