Berrigan Children's Centre is an incredible early education service offering long day care, before school care, after school care and vacation care programs to our community. Our centre is set in the relaxed, friendly town of Berrigan.

Early Childhood Educator - Casual

This is a casual position for a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator or actively working towards a Diploma to join the dedicated team at Berrigan Children's Centre Association Incorporated. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality, early childhood education and care to the children enrolled at the centre.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will assist with the delivery of the educational program supporting the learning and development of up to 38 children at the centre. You'll also collaborate with educators to help ensure consistency and continuity across the service. As a casual educator your enthusiasm and energy will inspire the passion and joy among our children.

About the Role:

• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that promote the learning and development of children aged 0-12 years
• Observing and assessing children's progress, and using this information to tailor learning experiences
• Building positive relationships with children, families and the broader community
• Ensuring a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborating with other educators to share knowledge and best practices
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Adhering to all relevant early childhood education regulations and centre policies
• Coaching, mentoring, and supporting our team of amazing educators
• Full time Permanent Position available but negotiable

What we're looking for

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) OR be actively working towards an approved Diploma qualification
• Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)
• A deep understanding of the EYLF, NQS and child development
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A warm, collaborative and reflective educator
• Proven experience in an early education space
